Connecting With You - March 16, 2021

Students and Friends,

A quick update about where I am in reference to teaching and participating in creative projects.

I am midstream in the vaccination process and expect to be fully immunized by the second week in April.

As you know, the present situation restricts our ability to meet in person. The good news is I have a professional rig to teach online during these last months of the pandemic.

There are technical challenges to teaching via Zoom or FaceTime. In light of this, I send my students piano recordings they can sing along to. The exercises I prescribe are accompanied for all ranges, from Bass to Soprano. This allows me to focus on witnessing your technique while minimizing latency during our sessions.

We all want to be together, especially while studying and playing music. And there is an unmistakable dynamic of being in the presence of my students and their ability to be with me. For now, these scales have liberated the online teaching and learning experience and I’m experiencing success with them.

My plans are to resume in person teaching by the middle of April to the beginning of May.

As I get more information on how to provide a safe teaching environment for groups I will be tremendously excited to resume teaching my dynamic Performance Classes.

Vocal Production for Recording Artists is happening now and going beautifully. I’m presently in the studio with two of my students who are getting ready to drop new releases in 2021.
